Top Fastest Road Cars

Gemballa Mirage GT
Gemballa claimed that its Mirage concept was capable of producing a Veyron-like 1000hp and could reach a theoretical top speed of 400km/h, with the sprint to 100km/h taking less than 3.5 seconds. With the Gemballa body, the Mirage GT looks like it is planning to enter the Le Mans 24-hour race. The most conspicuous change to the front are the additional air intakes on the new front spoiler. The cost of the comprehensive conversion, which can only be carried out by Gemballa, starts from EUR 229,800.
Koenigsegg CCX
The 806-hp CCX, or Competition Coupe X, is capable of going more than 240 mph and claims to be the fastest production vehicle in the world.Back in early 2005, a CCR supercar had won the fastest production car title when it achieved 241 mph (387.87 kph) on at Italy's Nardo Track. The Engine in the CCX retains the incredible performance and power of the CCR engine, while running on US 91 octane fuel and complying with California emission regulations. Each car comes with a storable hard top and long list of equipment. A 'standard' car is delivered for $540 000 USD, while a fully laden car comes for $610 910 USD.
Saleen S7 TT
The S7 uses a 750-hp V-8. It can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in under three seconds. The new all-aluminum V8 engine casting was engineered and tooled by Saleen to displace seven liters. Space age materials and engineering are used throughout, including stainless steel valves, titanium retainers, beryllium exhaust valve seats, an aluminum throttle body, Optimal aerodynamics and top speed performance objectives were achieved with extensive wind tunnel work. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the 2005 S7 Twin Turbo is $555,000.
9ff Carrera GT
Clearly, there are some drivers for whom the Porsche Carrera GT's stock 605 horsepower is merely adequate. These are the people that supertuner 9ff is targeting with its new program for the über-Porsche. The highlight of the car is a 912 bhp engine that's equipped with a with pair of turbochargers, agressive camshafts, new exhaust manifolds, a muffler upgrade, new catalytic converter, upgraded intake and reprogrammed mototronics. The for the engine kit alone is price is $120 000.
Locus Plethore
Plethore is a hand-built, Chevrolet V8-powered supercar built entirely of carbon fiber and weighing less than 2,500 lbs. The 8.2-liter V8 produces 750 horsepower (and up to 1,300 hp, optionally) hooked to a Tremec six-speed manual. The current price is $275 000 USD.
